Weed in Zermatt
In the Swiss Alps, Zermatt is a world-famous ski resort. This gorgeous town offers some of Europe’s best nature, which makes sense if you want to appreciate it while high. The good news is that weed is not illegal in Switzerland. The bad news is that finding something to smoke in a place like weed in Zermatt is extremely difficult:
Cannabis laws in Switzerland
Few people realize it, but Switzerland is one of Europe’s most weed-friendly countries. Marijuana possession has been decriminalized, and as long as you have less than 10 grams on you, you are not breaking the law. They might take your cannabis away at the most. Smoking, on the other hand, is prohibited and punishable by a fine. The fine is set at 100 CHF, so it’s not too awful. Carrying more than 10 grams of marijuana on you at any given moment is not a good idea.
Getting weed in Zermatt
Zermatt isn’t as huge as Zurich or Geneva, and cannabis isn’t as plentiful. You’re unlikely to come across any dealers, so you’ll have to rely on pleasant locals. Fortunately, many young Swiss people smoke marijuana and will be willing to assist you. Simply be pleasant and ask around; if you look hard enough, you will undoubtedly find something. Keep in mind that cannabis, like everything else in Switzerland, is pricey. Expect to pay between 15 and 20 CHF per gram of marijuana.
